Masterframe 4

Ravens 1-4 Masterframe

Ravens went into this game with only 1 striker raring to go in Kyle Moss, so going into a game against a team in the position above us in the table was not ideal. Things were also made difficult because of the state of the pitch which was not fit for a pig to roll around in, actually what am I talking about it was perfect for a pig to roll around in. Add to this Agron Aiyegbeni refereeing his first match because he was the only person who could whistle without actually needing a whistle. Flabbergasting.
Anyway the game started equally with both teams going close and Ravens looking as though despite all of this they could nick a result. Kyle Moss twice went close and looked very dangerous. Against the run of play Masterframe took the lead plainly because of the muddy conditions, Liam waited for the ball to roll to him but the ball lodged onto the puddle on the penalty spot, to be slotted home from there. Ollie Patterson then went close almost straight after from 30 yards when he hit the angle with a great effort, Ravens then equalised through danger man Kyle Moss from a well anticipated volley from about 12 yards. From this point on Ravens looked as though they were taking complete control of the game and could have taken the lead several times before the 2nd half.
Ravens went into the 2nd half determined to take the 3 points and were again unlucky not to take the lead as we began to pile on more pressure then an elephant on a tyre swing. However against the run of play Masterframe took the lead through a neat finish which took the wind out of our sails. However Ravens continued to knock on the door for about 20 minutes until the bare 11 that we had going into the game turned into a bare 9 thanks to an injury to Tarik Foley, and John Burdett picked up a horrific foot injury. Despite all of this Ravens kept giving it 100% and Masterframe only had 1 way of dealing with the threat and that was kicking and shoulder barging, which went unpunished because of the unofficial referee, otherwise we could have had a 9 a side match. Masterframe went on to add 2 more goals to their tally which were both against the run of play.
Ravens were extremely unlucky to lose this game 4-1 but good finishing from Masterframe keeps them higher then us in the league table.

Player Ratings
Grant Sadler-7- dive to the left, dive to the right Sadler’s on fire like dynamite.
Kev Brooks-6- Lead the line well, solid as an ox with a fetish for steroids.
Liam Dodsley-7- Dealt with the threats well by putting the ball out of play which is all he needed to do considering the pitch.
John Burdett-8- Ran the game until he was taken off with a foot injury, strong in the air and the tackle.
Rob Bentham-7- Committed as ever, got forward well, merked the right back with his pace.
Ollie Patterson-6- Not his best performance but conditions were not exactly right to play football in.
Jamie Hawthorne-6- worked well defensively and helped snuff out many an attack.
Tim Brown-6- made some intelligent passes in field.
Omni sambrook-6- Battled for every ball but conditions stopped his passes on many occasions.
Kyle Moss-8- was a big threat and the only way Masterframe could deal with him is to foul him.
Tarik Foley- 6- Playing out of position but tried hard and was unlucky to be chopped down and go off injured
