CLUB HISTORY
How It All Began (14/04/08)

It was the summer of 2007 and in a bid to get fit, Faye and Susan responded to an add in the paper asking for players to join Netherton Colts Ladies. They instantly hit it off with the few others that were there, Kerry, Jo and Gemma. But then the Manager had to leave due to personal problems and they were by themselves. They decided they would try and cope doing it themselves. Gemma placed an advert in the local paper and one by one more and more players began to join the training sessions. Sarah and Faye interegated local clubs to see what was best for the team. They soon realised they were not going to get any support, they went with the only club that offered them any help and so Tipton Town Ladies FC was born. Susan handled the Secretarial side and shared the Treasury with Kerry. Even though they were a little late getting going, they got it together just in time. They played their first match in size 44 mens football shirts, no wonder they lost 21-0.

2007-2008 (12/05/08)

Tipton Town Ladies F.C has successfully completed its first season and has enjoyed its first end of season presentation evening. Overall a very sucessful first year, finishing third overall after being pipped to promotion at the final game. A mixture of victories, draws and losses, which have all helped shaped the Tipton squad.
